Kid's for Christ Summer 2020
Due to COVID-19, we are taking precautions this summer with our children's ministry.
We will have activities on Wednesday nights but they will be limited to the FBC kids who currently attend.
We do hope to be up and running with our full schedule this coming fall.
Kid's for Christ Ministry
Children's Ministry is a year-round ministry at First Baptist. Sunday School is the foundation for engaging children in an age-appropriate weekly Bible study. Sunday School is held on Sundays at 9:45am, and the classes last for one hour. Each class is led by a gifted teacher, and the lessons are complimented by age-appropriate activities to help children integrate the Bible lesson. Classes for children include preschool through sixth grade.
Children's Church is held during the Sunday Morning Worship Services. Children's Church is designed with the younger child in mind, 4 yr. olds-1st grade. A simple Bible lesson along with an activity, usually based on the Pastor's sermon for that particular Sunday, helps keep younger children focused while parents attend the Worship Service. Children accompany parents into the Worship Service, but early into the service are invited to join the Children's Church leaders as they move to the children's area.
There are plenty of activity on Sunday and Wednesday evenings for children as well. Children's choirs, handbells, and mission education groups meet on Wednesday evenings. These activities run with the local school calendar.
Activities are planned year-round for children. Vacation Bible School, on-site and off-site Children's camps , special outings such as bowling, skating, movies, are just a few of the activities offered for children.
