Kids For Christ - Children's Ministry
Our Purpose
To nurture and guide children in their faith, teaching them about Jesus, the Bible, and Christian values, ultimately helping them become committed followers of Christ and active citizens of God’s kingdom.
Minister of Children

Nursery
Sunday Mornings and Evenings: Our 0 - 3 yr olds are taken care of by different teams each week, made up by the members of First Baptist Church. The nursery is located on our Preschool Hallway.
Wednesday Evenings: Our 0-3 yr olds are taken care of by two paid young adult women along with our Preschool Director, Debbie Harris.

Children's Church
Sunday mornings during worship services our 4 yr olds - 1st graders are encouraged to sit with their families for the first part of the worship service. Then after the announcement time, they are invited to go to Children’s Church on the Preschool Hallway. This time consists of a Bible Story, a craft or coloring page, songs, and play.
Starting with 2nd grade, the children stay in worship with their families. Worship bags are located at each Sanctuary entrance with printed material correlating with the sermon.

Sunday Bible Study
We have Bible Study for our 3 yr olds - 6th grade. Our 3 yr olds - Kindergarten gather on the Preschool hallway.
Our 1st - 6th graders gather upstairs on the Children’s Hallway. There are classes for 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, and 5th/6th grade. We have wonderful volunteers who work in pairs to teach the wonderful truths of God's Word to our children.
Mission Groups - Midweek
On Wednesday nights, our children learn about missions around the world and the missionaries who are in the field. These missionaries are supported by the Southern Baptist Convention, thru the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, the Heck/Jones Offering, and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
- Mission Friends: 4 yr olds - Kindergarten ( Preschool Hallway)
- Girls in Action: 1st - 6th grade (Children’s Hallway Upstairs)- Royal Ambassadors: 1st - 6th grade (Large Children’s Room Upstairs)
Summer Bible Study
Starting in June, we have a special themed Bible Study for our 4 yr olds - 6th grade. It is often compared to a summer long Vacation Bible School where we have Bible Study, craft and game centers, snack, and recreation.
