Crystal Modlin
Administrator of WEE School
I joined the FBC WEE School staff in August 2018 as a teacher. In 2020 I became the Lead teacher, and in 2024 I took on the role of administrator. I am also the financial secretary at FBC. My husband is Justin Modlin and we have four children; Tyler, Landon, Trinity and Bodie. Before working at WEE School, I was a stay-at-home mom and provided in-home childcare for 12 years. I love the beach, hiking in the mountains and being outdoors. My favorite color is purple, food is steak cooked at home by my husband and drink is Dr. Pepper or sweet tea. I love being around kids and strive to make learning fun. I strive to help make WEE School a place to prepare children spiritually and academically for their transition to kindergarten!
Patricia "Pat" Hodges
2 Year old Teacher
I started working at FBC Wee School in January of 2023. I have had such a great time working with all of these wonderful kids. I am married to Woody and I have two adult children, and two grandchildren. I've always enjoyed working with children and have been doing it for many years. I have cared for children in my home and have also been a substitute teacher for ages Pre-K through the 3rd grade. I can't wait for a wonderful year with your precious child!

I started working at FBC WEE School in August of 2023. I am married and have 2 boys, Nolan and Chase. I love camping with my family and hanging with my pet chickens. My favorite color is pink and my favorite drink is Dr. Pepper. I look forward to the new adventures each year brings!
Rhesa Walston
Two Day 3 Year Old Teacher
I started working at FBC WEE School in August of 2022. I am known by students, kid's friends, and dancers as Mrs. Rhesa. I am a Beaufort County native and am currently settled in Chocowinity. I'm married to my best friend Ryan; together we have two sweet & spunky daughters Breelyn & Helen (better known as Nuggies). We also have two dogs Evo who is my extra child and Dandy who is our newest addition. I'm currently working towards my Early Childhood Education Degree. In my spare time I love working with my step sister coaching her competitive dance teams. I enjoy working at WEE school because it allows me to share my love of Jesus with the kids while we are having fun and learning.

Two Day 3 Year Old Teacher Assistant
I have a super close family that consists of my husband, 3 kids and 5 grandkids. I have had the pleasure, for the past 7 years, of watching my grandkids grow while their parents were at work. Three of my grandkids have attended First Baptist WEE School and I have seen the positive impact it has made on their young lives. I am so excited to have the opportunity to be an assistant and help teach your child the love of Jesus.
Sara Adams
Four Day 3 Year Old Teacher
I started working at FBC Wee School in 2023 as one of the four-year-old teacher assistants. I have absolutely grown to love teaching and in 2024 became the three year-old four day teacher. I am married and I have two beautiful little girls: Emma, who is five and Eva who is three soon to be be 4. I was born and raised in Beaufort County in my free time outside of school I am heavily involved in my church and do a lot of mission trips and street ministry. I love helping other people and showing the love of Jesus! I have always had a background of teaching children and babysitting. I have led children choirs and youth groups and I just love watching the kids learn and grow. I am so thankful to be apart of this beautiful ministry and school and look forward to what each new school year brings!

I started my career at WEE School in December 2024, as a teacher assistant. I am married to Matthew, and together we have two wonderful daughters, Elliott and Ever. They are proud alumni of FBC WEE School. I hold a strong commitment to early childhood education, and it is a goal to create a warm and engaging learning environment where children can explore, grow, and develop a love for the Lord and learning! I am so thankful for this opportunity to watch your children grow spiritually and academically.
Wendi Jackson
4 Year Old Teacher
I am an ECU graduate with an Elementary Education degree. I have taught PreK EC, first grade and Preschool with three- and four-year-olds. I love teaching children and watching them grow through Jesus. I love photography and going on adventures all over the country. I have three children and three grandchildren whom I love dearly. I love working at FBC WEE School, it has been so wonderful!
Sherrie Swain
4 Year Old Teacher
I am so excited to be given the privilege to teach one of the four-year-old WEE School classes. I am a retired National Board certified teacher and have been a member of First Baptist Church for over 30 years. I am married with two sons and two grandchildren. It is truly a blessing to be teaching your children, not only ABC’s and 123’s but also about the most important thing of all – Jesus.
Chastity Perry
4 Year Old Teacher Assistant
I started being a WEE School teacher assistant in August 2022. I am married to Brett Perry and we have two children, Luke and Emily, who both attended WEE School here. I am a member of First Baptist Church. I am a stay-at-home mom. I have done childcare in my home for several years. I also work as a reserve deputy sheriff for Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office. I love just about anything outdoors. I love doing volunteer work of all kinds, mostly behind the scenes. I am known for when asked to help or volunteer I respond with, “Put me where needed”. I believe we grow and learn most when put outside our comfort zone. My favorite colors are blue and coral and favorite food is asparagus. I look forward to this journey helping your children grow and learn in new ways.
