Crystal Modlin
4 Year Old & Lead Teacher
I joined the FBC WEE School staff in August 2018. I am married to Justin Modlin and we have four children; Tyler, Landon, Trinity and Bodie. Before working at WEE School, I was a stay-at-home mom and provided in-home childcare for 12 years. I love being around kids and strive to make learning fun. I love the beach, hiking in the mountains and being outdoors. My favorite color is purple, food is steak cooked at home by my husband and drink is Dr. Pepper or sweet tea.
Tracy Solano
4 Year Old Teacher
I recently retired from the N.C. Public School system with 30 years of classroom experience. I’m so excited to join the team of dedicated caregivers here at the FBC WEE School this year. I am married and have one daughter who is attending college. I love reading, visiting the beach, and spending time with my family. I look forward to meeting all my new students and starting this new teaching adventure!
Rhesa Walston
4 Year Old Teacher Assistant
This will be my first year at WEE School and I cannot wait to start! I have two beautiful, spunky daughter, Breelyn (WEE School graduate) and Helen (future WEE School kid), with my husband Ryan. I am very active in my stepsister’s dance studio, where I help with the competition teams. This is where I have found my greatest passion in life, working with children and teens. My husband and I also run a charity car show to benefit the Southside FFA. I plan to begin at PCC in the spring towards my Early Childhood Education degree.

3 Year Old Teacher
Hello WEE School families! My name is Chrissy and I’s excited about the upcoming school year! This will be my 6th year teaching preschool (2nd year at WEE School). I am married and have 2 boys, ages 11 and 15, who both attended Wee School. They keep me very busy with baseball and other school activities but I wouldn't change a thing. My hobbies include reading, going to the beach, and CrossFit.
Rylee Lewis
3 Year Old Teacher Assistant
Hi! My name is Rylee and I’ll be an assistant teacher for the three-year-olds this year. I myself actually went to WEE School here at FBC when I was younger. I am now 21 years old and switching that role from student to teacher!
Wendi Jackson
2 & 3 Year Old Teacher
I am an ECU graduate with an Elementary Education degree. I have taught PreK EC, first grade and Preschool with three and four year olds. I love teaching children and watching them grow through Jesus. I love photography and going on adventures all over the country. I have three children and two grand daughters who I love dearly. I am looking forward to this new adventure as two and three year old teacher at FBC WEE School.
Caroline Forest
2 & 3 Year Old Teacher Assistant
Hey everyone, I’m Caroline Forest! It’s my first year teaching full time at WEE School. I substituted last year and enjoyed it so much I decided to take a full time position. Since she was born, I’ve been a stay at home mom to my 4 year old daughter, who absolutely loves the WEE School program here at First Baptist Church. We are both so excited for me to take on this new adventure with her.

2 Year Old Teacher
This is my second year at WEE School. Last year, I assisted in the 4-Year-Old room. I am looking forward to being a teacher in the 2-Year-Old room this year. I am certified in Early Childhood Education. I am married and have two boys; they are 11 and 6. I was born and raised right here in Washington. I am the oldest of 5 children. My favorite color is pink, season is fall, and drink is Dr. Pepper! I have always enjoyed working with Children and their families! We are going to have a great year full of fun and learning!
Chastity Perry
2 Year Old Teacher Assistant
This is my first year being a WEE School teacher assistant for two-year-olds. I am married to Brett Perry and we have two children, Luke (8) and Emily (6), who both attended WEE School here. I am a member of First Baptist Church. I am a stay-at-home mom. I have done childcare for the past five years at home. I have been a reserve deputy sheriff for Tyrrell County Sheriff’s Office for the past 11 years. I love just about anything outdoors. I love doing volunteer work of all kinds, mostly behind the scenes. I am known for when asked to help or volunteer I respond with, “Put me where needed”. I believe we grow and learn most when put outside our comfort zone. My favorite colors are blue and coral and favorite food is asparagus. I look forward to this new journey helping your children grow and learn in new ways.
